Epilogue

The unpleasant spectre of Kevin Chesham has now faded entirely from our lives. His uncomfortably stiff demeanour has dissolved. Mutual acquaintances never mention him in conversation. He made no impact on their lives and certainly none on ours. We still occasionally receive material through the post with the familiar datestamp and recognisable handwriting on the envelope. These are disposed of unopened and unread in a suitable receptacle for rubbish. He still persists with uploading filched photographs with accompanying misdescriptions, falsely suggesting that I remain his friend. The truth is that Chesham lost the few friends he ever had a long time ago owing to his complete betrayal of them all. The people in photographs he has published on the internet are not his friends and have not been for quite some years owing to his own treacherous behaviour. He turned on those who had hitherto only shown him kindness and generosity, and he did so under no provocation and for no apparent reason save what lurks in the darkest recesses of his devious mind. Why does he publish images of people he describes as his "friends" when they are clearly not? It is a puerile game that he seems to take some perverse pleasure in playing. Others see it for exactly what it is. Chesham's many lies and deceitful actions have rid him of any friendship he might have once enjoyed with those he obsesses about. His motives are known to him and him alone. It has almost certainly extinguished any light in his soul. Like his ex-convict mentor and collaborator, David Farrant, whom he allied himself with in a futile attempt to cause such friends harm, Chesham has become an empty shell of a man whose void has only been filled with darkness. In hindsight he was always a wrong 'un.

My mistake was to invest such trust in so obvious a blaggard who was perhaps always destined to betray those who showed him kindness and generosity. I believe he has done it to others in the past. The scoundrels he now colludes with will discover to their cost that no honour exists in such as him.

As so many have remarked, my portrait of him reveals both the emptiness and sadness of the man; something he shares in common with the charlatan he collaborates with in an attempt to inflict harm on me and mine. The picture ceased to be exhibited as a portrait of him after his betrayal became known, but was later re-exhibited as a personal depiction of Judas, who is as close to Satan as any human being can get.

There is another abiding image of Kevin Chesham; one which he cannot deny; one bearing his humourless features with an outstretched arm, as his grave expression betrays something irrational and maniacal.

This image will remain while others of him are effaced by time. It is a portrait of hypocrisy, lies and deceit.

Spells

All these two clowns could manage is a spell behind bars.

It began with curses and spells when David Farrant issued black magic threats as far back as 1970. Some of these, of course, resulted in him being found guilty at London's Old Bailey and given a not insignificant prison sentence. Today he has clearly cast his spell over Kevin Chesham and together they apparently contrive to curse me and anyone sympathetic toward me. The latest piece of nonsense to arrive through my door landed on the floor in my porch today, having been posted via Gatwick by Kevin Chesham yesterday.

Folded open at a page subtitled "Good News For Anyone Who's Tried Magick And Failed" (shades of Farrant with "Magick" spelt in Aleister Crowley's peculiar fashion), the envelope is addressed in Kevin's familiar capital letters which appear in identical form on many envelopes sent by him to people, myself included, down the years.

The absymal failure of the Faustian Circle with its proclamation of "National Gnosticism and Social Darwinism" in the context of an "Occult-Fascist" synthesis has witnessed the Kerry Bolton-influenced Kevin Chesham move steadily in the direction of David Farrant's brand of "magick." This far more suits the cowardly and nervous Farrant who gets very jittery around anything as ideologically extreme as Kevin's politics, especially in the wake of his own disastrous attempt to stand as a so-called "Wicca Workers Party" candidate at the 1978 General Election.

On his election leaflets and posters, Farrant made the mistake of adopting beneath his eagles Odal runes, also used by the Third Reich as well as present-day neo-Nazis, plus a slogan above these symbols which had only been used previously by the League of Imperial Fascists and their umbrella movement, the NSWPUK.

I don't believe it was a coincidence that David Farrant launched his WWP in the year following my exposure of the existence of a League of Imperial Fascists cell in a North London suburb. His modus operandi has always been to jump on bandwagons in a manner that takes everything in the wrong direction. He had also been complicit in colluding with an alcoholic tabloid journalist to produce a spoiler after I had begun a series of commissioned articles about the neo-Nazi cell which included an interview with "The Commander" (leader of the League of Imperial Fascists).
.
During the late summer of 1977, "The Commander," accompanied by several others in full Nazi regalia, gave an interview on the outskirts of North London. Using the nomenclature "League of Imperial Fascists", "The Commander" was also associated with the National Socialist Movement. Its leader, Colin Jordan, operated from the pre-war Imperial Fascist League's headquarters at "Arnold Leese House," 74 Princedale Road, London W11. This became the HQ of the White Defence League (1957), the British National Party (1960) and finally the National Socialist Movement (1962). Arnold Spencer Leese (1878–1956) was a British veterinarian and Fascist politician. As a member of the British Fascists he was elected a councillor in Stamford, Lincolnshire. Having become disillusioned with the British Fascists by 1928, Leese became a founding member of the Imperial Fascist League, but by 1933 he found the Imperial Fascist League being eclipsed and overtaken by Sir Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists. He was one of the last leaders of the Fascist movement to be interned in the United Kingdom at the beginning of World War II under the Defence Regulation 18B. Released on conditions in December 1943 because of ill health, Leese again returned to prison in 1947 for six months for his part in aiding escaping members of the Waffen SS. After the war, Leese published his own magazine, Gothic Ripples, which was largely concerned with attacking the Jews. A mentor of the young Colin Jordan, Leese bequeathed Jordan his Holland Park house (74 Princedale Road, London W11) upon his death (although his widow retained the use of it as a sanctuary), which, known as "Arnold Leese House," would become Colin Jordan's and the WDF's, BNP's, NSM's headquarters in the 1950s and 1960s.

Threats

Kevin Chesham, Redmond McWilliams and David Farrant in a London graveyard in May 2013.

"My friend Kev is arriving back in the UK soon from Saudia Arabia. ... he’s looking forward to a couple of months on the somewhat cooler coast of the South of England. ... He’s also be saying ‘hello’ to some old friends whilst in the UK." – David Farrant (6 May 2013)

"I know that our cold and dismal beaches are nothing compared to the glorious waterfront tracks which Kev enjoys every morning over there, but they do have their own unique charms and attractions. And scenery! I mean, all those picturesque clifftops for one thing, and the blissful fresh sea air and silence when no one else is around. ... We all run along the south coast each day, favouring one particular route for our morning run along the Overcliff Drive. Well this route came up in conversation with Kev today and so I asked Kev his thoughts about it, bearing in mind that it means that he will inadvertently find himself on a daily basis within 100 yards of a certain person. ... Kev is also very excited, because while he’s in the UK he will also have a chance to discuss his pending and now almost completed autobiography." – Beverley Mason (6 May 2013)

"Kev is finally back in UK after two long years in Saudi Arabia. He brought with him the almost finished manuscript of his forthcoming autobiography which chronicles his adventures in Highgate during the Highgate ‘vampire’ saga. ... Kev was looking extremely healthy and fit, and is looking forward to some  ‘sporting’ action in the UK, but is also going to take advantage of his stay in the UK to take care of some personal matters at the same time. Then it's back to the real heat again." – David Farrant (19 May 2013)

Kevin Chesham has barely been back in the country a month and the threats have already begun to manifest in the form of two cards received this morning in envelopes written in his barely disguised handwriting (though some slight attempt was made to disguise it, his apparent inability to alter his style is glaringly obvious) that were posted from where he and Beverley Mason are residing in Essex.

The first card, sent in a pink envelope, carries the legend "While You're in Hospital." The second, sent in a white envelope, is a Sympathy card intended for someone who has lost a loved one. Neither card is signed, but the intention is quite obvious. My wife opened these cards and took them as a direct threat on us both.

Though he has tried to alter his erstwhile very recognisable handwriting on the two envelopes by writing in an infantile manner with large characters (possibly employing his left hand), you would have no need to be a graphologist to see that individual characters in our address written on the envelopes match exactly those Kevin has employed in his correspondence down the years to various people. Sample below:

Regarding Kevin Chesham's so-called autobiographical claims, I stated on 3 March 2012 on this blog that when these machinations first began to be revealed by Farrant around Christmas 2010, internet-users were told that Kevin alleged to have been involved in the Highgate Vampire case and possessed a lot of "information" concerning it. Nothing could be further from the truth, of course, as I have never discussed this case with him and, moreover, he has shown no interest whatsoever in it; at least, not in my presence. Kevin would have been barely sixteen when the occurrences at Highgate Cemetery became known to the wider public, and the principal contagion was all but exorcised around the period when he and I first had accidental contact and became acquainted. So that strategy failed before it so much as got off the ground.

Though he obtained my bestselling book about the case, I doubt he ever read it. He certainly never discussed it with me or anyone else known to me. Now he is attempting to exploit it for his own ends. The truth is he knew nothing about the investigation until decades after it was over when he obtained a copy of The Highgate Vampire (among other of my books) in the 1990s. He could not have read it because he took umbrage at Keith Maclean participating in a documentary about the case made by the Discovery Channel (also available on DVD) and couldn't understand why I involved Keith who, of course, received a fee. There was clearly more than an element of jealousy in Kevin's reaction which some believe was the trigger that led to him coming out of the closet and revealing his treacherous true colours at a later date. The fact is that Keith Maclean was instrumental in my investigation into the Highgate happenings at their inception; something Kevin Chesham should have known if he had actually bothered to read my book.

When it was discovered that Kevin was engaged in treachery and had been acting as a mole for Farrant who promises to publish Kevin's "autobiographical" fantasies from his Muswell Hill bedsitting room, I was obliged to create this rebuttal blog owing to the malice and incitements of hatred against me and mine.

Kevin Chesham, like Farrant before him, wants his fifteen minutes of infamy. In order to achieve this he has decided to become yet another unconnected person to try and hop on the Highgate Vampire bandwagon.

Apart from myself and Keith Maclean,  whom he met at luncheons my wife and I hosted, Kevin Chesham and his wife Beverley Mason have not had contact with anyone genuinely connected with the investigation of the Highgate Vampire case, and, as can be confirmed by those present on each and every occasion, the case itself was never raised or discussed in their presence. Had it been, he would have been aware of Keith Maclean's part in it and understood why he was involved in the making of the documentary. But he didn't, and Kevin Chesham's own pettiness, anger and envy got the better of him in the end.

Kevin

"Throughout history, back-stabbers have stuck the proverbial knife into their friend's back for something they were after. Brutus sought power and, while gossiping with co-conspirators, the idea was conceived to back-stab his friend Caesar in the front. His treachery was despicable considering Caesar was a loyal and close friend of his. All back-stabbers retain the appearances of friendship, but are truly ready to abandon it when they give in to what they want. They are only friends in appearances and have their eye on another prize. Chesham's eye was on the one thing which has eluded him all his life: celebrity and all that is associated with it. He foolishly saw Farrant as a short-cut to achieving this and ended up becoming just another Judas doing a deal for 'thirty pieces of silver' which in his case turns out to be the promise for his fabricated nonsense finding publication at the hands of someone who has made his life's career out of peddling such lies and deception. For this puny prize he is willing to betray and harm those who have been most generous, kind and charitable toward him. It would have been better for Chesham if he had not been born." Veritas Aequitas

Kevin a few years ago, left, and (back on the steroids) in 2013.

"Seán does not and has never to my knowledge owned an actual dog. For one thing he is scared of them." Kevin Chesham (posted from Dubai on his hate blog, February 2013)

I have always had an affinity with animals and when my parents and I lived at Newstead Abbey Park where my maternal grandparents resided we kept alsation dogs which I became close to. Indeed, I frequently took walks with one of them. I certainly have no fear of dogs, but I remember how Kevin lived in constant terror of dogs when he ran on Hampstead Heath in the 1970s. He wore a chain around his waist which he took off and swung in circles like a propellor to ward off any nearby dogs. Again, he is projecting his own state of mind onto me, just as he has projected much else. This transference process includes his ideology.

Kevin's past contains secrets to which I am not privy. Years ago I was told that he had a troubled childhood. I know nothing about this, but his correspondence to me this century was very angry and dwelt on him being reduced to menial work at local government establishments, eg pool attendant jobs. This is more or less the sort of employment he was in when I first met him. Perhaps he felt life had not treated him particularly well and resented the fact that he had not improved his lot. Life, of course, is what you make of it.

Within a couple of years before his final visit, Kevin shared the news that he had been sacked from his local council job at a pool establishment. No details were forthcoming, but employment in local government was secure back then and to be summarily dismissed must have entailed a very serious offence. He was especially sullen from this period onward. A mutual friend by the name of Laurie much later remarked: "A twisted turncoat without any humour. Has he ever laughed properly? I can't see that. Where is his pleasure?" His pleasure, it would transpire, would evince itself in the form of trying to cause harm to me and mine; a perverse ambition he shares with David Farrant. Another mutual friend, Anthony, remarked how the only time he can remember ever seeing Kevin smile (in photographs, see below) was when he was in the company of Farrant at the latter's Muswell Hill Road bed-sitting room.

Kevin has not worked at a council-run establishment since his mysterious dismissal some years back. Curiously, around the same time, Beveley Mason suddenly ceased working as a teacher, something she had done as long as I have known her, and now found herself employed at a leisure centre in Brentford.

Kevin reveals next to nothing about himself and I know less about him at the end than I did in the beginning.

In many ways I feel sorry for Kevin because he has absolutely no true friends and, when he had, he treated them, not least my wife and I, with utter contempt through his behaviour and ultimately his betrayal. I am in no doubt that our private address was made available to David Farrant by him as far back as Easter 2002.

We were very occasionally approached by various churches at different times to shelter individuals who might otherwise be at risk. This was owing chiefly to my work investigating such groups and, of course, From Satan To Christ (published in 1988 some time after it was no longer safe for me to operate in that spiritual minefield without the risk of being detected).

These anecdotes inform why we accepted up until Lent 2002 those who needed our help and gave them a safe haven or sanctuary. The reason we did so is because we were asked, and the rooms were available. It did not happen often, it should be stated, but the moment our whereabouts were compromised it ceased.

The address of our private retreat in England was generally unknown up until Easter 2002 at which time it was betrayed by someone privy to it. We now know the identity of that person. Unsolicited mail of a vaguely threatening nature began to arrive with a London postmark. It was handed to WPC Suzie Cregan who opened a crime file on our behalf. Alarm bells should have started to ring when an item arrived on Tuesday April 23rd (St George's Day) of that year with insufficient stamps and a single word comprising its message. The word was: "Moving?" The message was sent by a man resident in Muswell Hill who had been convicted in the 1970s of satanic crimes at Highgate Cemetery and sending police witnesses voodoo death dolls in a separate case involving a Satanist friend of his who was later convicted of sexual assault.

Two of the people we mentioned the possibility of our relocation to were Kevin Chesham and Beverley Mason. They both took an extraordinary interest in our plans, and always made a point of raising it every time we heard from them, or saw them. In the event, we did not relocate but instead established an interest elsewhere whilst still retaining the retreat. Yet for the next couple of years Kevin and Beverley found little else to talk about in our company. When they realised the retreat would remain unsold, however, with nothing disclosed about any other interests, they started to become agitated. This was most apparent when they attended a celebration dinner in my honour in July 2007, which was the last year in which we saw them. We do not permit smoking at the retreat, but on this occasion we were mostly seated in the sun lounge abutting the garden and grotto with the doors wide open. The wife of an old friend who was seated next to the open doors happened to start smoking. Everyone had long since finished eating, but the Kevin and Beverley took extreme umbrage, gathered up their bags and jackets, and stormed off in an almighty huff. We would only see them once more. Five months later they appeared on Boxing Day with treachery in their hearts. This I have dealt with elsewhere.

It was not too long after the the two occasions in 2007 that collusion became apparent between Kevin and Beverley (for whom nothing but kindness and generosity had been shown in the handful of years they had been visiting) and the London based David Farrant who has been my adversary for a great many years.

There are no short cuts in life. Kevin should have realised, as a long distance runner, that if you cheat you will eventually be found out and disqualified. Whatever the cause of his incredible shift in direction, we either face the Light or our own shadow. The struggle in life is to remain true and stick to the difficult Path ahead whilst avoiding inevitable temptation at every twist and turn. Kevin clearly succumbed to temptation along the way, and, unless he genuinely seeks to make amends and looks to  be absolved through contrition, he will remain for ever more with the consequences of his disloyalty, dishonesty and deception. We are at the helm of our own destiny when it comes to "turns and directions." The lesson to be learned is that once truth is sacrificed, as happened with Kevin, all else follows and becomes counterfeit. He alone can strive, if he so desires, to recover what is lost; turning away from his own dark shadow; only he can determine whether he wishes to dwell in perpetual darkness or seek the Light he abandoned.

Kevin Chesham in the mid-1970s.
.
We still receive from Kevin neo-Nazi material through the post; some of it overtly satanic and clearly in the Kerry Bolton mould. Every so often something arrives with a Gatwick postmark, indicating that he had asked somebody returning or visiting the United Kingdom to post it for him upon their arrival at Gatwick. The envelopes are addressed to me in Kevin's familiar handwritten capital letters.
.

Occult-Fascist material posted to me on 19 March 2013.

The Faustian Circle is a supposed self-styled Occult-Fascist group, allegedly formed in London, England, on New Year's Day 2013. It claims to be dedicated to promoting the creed of National Gnosticism and the doctrine of Social Darwinism in its "eternal struggle for Survival of the Fittest."

Aleister Crowley also features heavily on their blog, as does Kevin Chesham's friend Kerry Bolton.

The Faustian Circle claims to be a "Secret Order working to shape thinking and to manipulate events from behind the scenes. It encouragea its supporters to be active in political organisations in Great Britain in order to influence policy and to spread the National Gnostic message. Likewise its Faustian Youth section is involved in musical subcultures such as Industrial, Black Metal, Goth, Punk/Post-Punk, Neo-Folk and such like." It also claims to seek contact with "like minded groups and individuals in Europe and throughout the World."

The literature received via Royal Mail provides a link to a website advertising books by Kerry Bolton.

Kevin Chesham in the new century.
.
I recall Kevin using Steven Books a lot in the years prior to the final meeting I had with him in 2007. Indeed, I received lots of literature clearly purchased by him from Steven Books and then forwarded unsolicited to me. I assumed this was due to my interest in our country's history and the fact that, as a photographer, I had met Mosley and his wife in my youth. The literature and other items I received all had in common one thing  they were invariably about Fascism and National Socialism, and largely promoted it. There was a worrying accumulation of these curiosities toward the end of my tenuous association with Kevin Chesham. I had barely seen him down the years, save for the last handful or so when he cropped up at parties at my private retreat or dropped by, often uninvited, on Boxing Day. This never amounted to seeing him more than once, or, at best, twice a year in the latter period. In 2007, I made it my business to dispose of his political propaganda items and sell on collectables and any  remaining neutral or critical literature from him.

Such material Kevin continues to send to me with motives known only to him; motives which are born in a twisted mind that has now become very deeply disturbed. This man, as others have observed, completely lacks humour and dwells his own darkness void of spiritual content. He is clearly troubled and sick.

I have reason to believe that the so-called "Faustian Circle" was dreamt up by Kevin Chesham and David Farrant. Its "recommended reading list," amongst a plethora of titles promoting Nazism, Black Magic and Satanism, includes two of my own books. These are not as random as at first they might appear. One is about an investigation into the malign supernatural while the other warns against the dark occult. Both books are justifiably critical of Kevin's collaborating friend Farrant. My name, as the author, is naturally also published. This might suggest the Faustian Circle is supportive of me when, in fact, it is not. This rather conveniently provides something yet further for Kevin to use to incite hatred when hypocritically feeding his false information, as it has been confirmed he has already done, to the "Unite Against Fascism" group. I have little doubt that the Faustian Circle is entirely the creation Kevin Chesham.

Addendum:

A fresh blog was posted by the "Faustian Circle" (aka Kevin Chesham with David Farrant) on 18 July 2013. It is devoted to maligning myself and is recognisably Farrant's propaganda. Farrant is let off the hook, of course, while I am smeared yet again with his unsubstantiated allegations (dealt with earlier on my blogsite). It, therefore, came as no surprise to receive from Kevin Chesham the very next day a printed-out copy of the online page where I am misrepresented. The blog's rant ends with the following statement: "For the record, Kevin Chesham is NOT a member of the Faustian Circle." Nor is anybody else! The Faustian Circle does not exist save on the internet where its was created. The "Faustian Circle" IS Kevin Chesham!

These are the accusations made against me (by Kevin Chesham) on the new "Faustian Circle" blog entry:

"Manchester is President of the British Occult Society."

The British Occult Society does not exist. It was formally dissolved in August 1988. The BOS was an investigation bureau which examined occult claims and also researched paranormal phenomena. It did not engage in occultism. David Farrant fraudulently claimed to be its president until he adopted the nomenclature "British Psychic and Occult Society" for his bogus organisation. He misrepresented the BOS.

"He was excommunicated from the Old Catholic Church."

I have not been excommunicated from any Church, including the OCC, and nobody has ever claimed to have excommunicated me. This lie is spread solely by Farrant and latterly further disseminated by Kevin.

"Manchester was said [by Farrant and latterly Kevin] to have canvassed for the British National Front (NF) in the past, and more recently to have links to the British National Party (BNP)."

This falsehood has been peddled over recent years by David Farrant and repeated by Kevin Chesham. Nobody else has made the allegation which is totally without substance. I have not supported (nor canvassed on behalf of) any political party at any time. Farrant, on the other hand, switched whatever support he might have garnered at the 1978 General Election from his Wicca Workers Party to the National Front. Kevin and his wife, Beverley Mason, claimed in front of witnesses, including my wife, that the pair of them were fully signed-up members of the British National Party and had attended BNP functions.

I do not support political systems per se, and reserve my faith, loyalty and energy for spiritual matters that manifest in the traditional English Catholicism I represent as an episcopally consecrated bishop.

Nota Bene:

Following my addendum in the wake of the Faustian Circle's 18 July 2013 blog, the claim that I was "excommunicated from the Old Catholic Church" was deleted and replaced with the equally false allegation that I was "laicised from the Old Catholic Church for 'un-Christian behaviour', by Bishop Illytyd Thomas of Muswell Hill, North London." The fact is that the late Illtyd Thomas did not have the authority to "laicise" me and before his hastily written notice was contrived with David Farrant's assistance Thomas had already been excommunicated and anathematised for unChristian behaviourA member of the Ecclesiastical Law Society brought to our attention documentary evidence that Illtyd Thomas had a criminal conviction for theft, had blessed homosexual "unions" and had wittingly "ordained" sexually active sodomites. Illtyd Thomas also cultivated a close association with the one of the most notorious paedophiles in criminal history in the UK - Roger Gleaves - who "ordained" him sub conditione (we now possess copies of the "Instruments") despite Illtyd Thomas always having strenuously denied this allegation against him. He was also known to have had associations with various other paedophiles, many of whom are now deceased. It had been known for a long time that Illtyd Thomas had innumerable occult connections - including Masons, Theosophists and sundry occultists – some of whom he illicitly ordained. David Farrant, possibly Britain’s most infamous self-publicist in phoney witchcraft and pseudo-occultism, befriended Illtyd Thomas in early 2007, having been an invited guest to Illtyd Thomas' Muswell Hill home in north London. Farrant resides less than a mile from Illtyd Thomas' address (until his death) in a bed-sitting room he has occupied since his parole release from prison.

Since his collusion with Farrant in early 2007, Illtyd Thomas had been the subject of much discussion and concern by innumerable independent Catholic jurisdictions in the UK. It had already been decided to excommunicate Illtyd Thomas upon discovery in December 2006 that he was then still alive. He had been investigated thoroughly with due consideration since documentary evidence was received in 2002.

Hence, at thirteen hundred hours, ie 1.00 pm (GMT), on the Feast of St David, the former bishop of the autocephalous Old Catholic jurisdiction known as the "Celtic Catholic Church" was duly excommunicated on the grounds of violating the sacred species and his office by ordaining and consecrating sexually active homosexuals, paedophiles, occultists and criminals; being guilty of heresy by accepting sexually active homosexual, paedophile and occultic clergy, and colluding with a malefic individual who is also a pseudo-occultist, ie David Farrant, to do harm to the ministry, church and person of an autocephalous English Catholic jurisdiction overseen by myself. The excommunication was officiated and led by me using the traditional formula in the Roman Rite. All major Christian denominations were informed. None objected.

http://kevin-chesham.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/excommunication.html

Almost eight months after its founding, this appeared on The Faustian Circle's blog on 21 July 2013:

"The Faustian Circle is now disbanded and the previously listed contact email address of the Order is no longer in use. In any case our circle of supporters never amounted to more than a handful of individuals. This blog is now suspended and will not be updated. Previous posts will be maintained as a historical archive and resource for researchers."

Eight months later, another statement was published on 26 March 2014, saying the following:

"The Faustian Circle has been relaunched after the previous Blog Master was forced to retire due to health reasons. ***** was persuaded to hand over control of the F.C. Blog to the Council of the Faustian Circle. We are glad to report that he has now made a full recovery and still supports our organisation."

(The edited out name - ***** - is exactly as it originally appeared on The Faustian Circle.)

Nobody showed any interest in The Faustian Circle until it decided to launch its attack upon myself.

Keith

I was introduced to Keith Maclean (the bearded gentleman in the above photograph which also features Kevin Chesham and Beverley Mason in the background) by his then girlfriend, Elizabeth Wojdyla, in the summer of 1969. We have remained good friends ever since, and, unlike Kevin whom I met some years later, we remain in regular contact. Kevin is someone I became acquainted with through circumstances that threw us together in a work situation during one summer. He remained in touch on and off (more off) thereafter, but it would be a considerable stretch to describe us as friends as we had very little in common. It was clear to most people who encountered him that Kevin was quite obsessive and a little bit unstable.

Not so Keith with whom I have much in common. He is a kind person whose spirituality, love of music and literature makes him stimulating company. He also has a good sense of humour, something totally lacking in Kevin whose idea of humour, rather like David Farrant's, is to poke fun of people behind their backs. Had we had more contact over the decades than we did I would have been unable to remain acquainted with him. Here was someone who had no social skills and was unable to make friends with people. That is probably why I befriended him at a distance and allowed him to attend some old friends' reunion dinners.

Someone who assists Farrant with his manipulative schemes and also organises his website for him by the unconvincing names of "Della Vallicrus / Esacarti / Farrant" (take your pick) - notwithstanding her actual identity - describes Kevin Chesham as being extremely "sensitive" and proffers a string of adjectives that I and others who have known him for years recognise to be the antithesis of everything we have observed.

Never more is this apparent than the defamataory nonsense about Keith posted by Kevin and his wife, Beverley, on their blog. Once again, as with their personal attacks on me, my wife and our friends, these unpleasantries transparently stem from David Farrant whose entire life has been predicated on malice.

Kevin begins his tirade with this salvo:

"‘Br’ Keith  is a strange individual. I do not know if his vacant demeanour is the result of brain damage, learning difficulties,  his years of drug abuse, his cult indoctrination at the hands of Bonky or just not being very bright. Maybe it is a combination of all or some of these explanations. Or maybe just the need to change his toothpaste to Macleans, and choose instead of staring blindly with the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind to adopt a much more convincing rhetoric by giving us all a dazzling smile (when he is allowed to open his mouth that is.) One things certain tho – the boy ain’t right."

Keith, who went to teachers' training college and is well informed in many academic subjects, is, unlike Kevin, exceptionally bright and well read. Needless to say, Keith Maclean belongs to no cult and is not indoctrinated; nor does he take drugs; nor does he smoke, and his alcohol consumption is very modest.

Kevin continues:

"You see, as well as being, shall we say, somewhat backward, ‘Br’ Keith  is also a Jesus-Nutter."

Kevin Chesham falls foul of the recently introduced religious hatred legislation with that remark. Some of his ensuing commentary, however, is so sick and libellous that I shall obviously not repeat such offensiveness here. One of Kevin's less depraved fabrications involving Keith I shall nonetheless share:

"By this time I do remember that Sean had purchased a Hornby train set and was populating it with little men and trees etc which he was buying off Ebay. He had set it up on a table in a room upstairs. ‘Br’ Keith  spent many happy hours in Sean’s playroom (they are both in their 60s!) gazing gormlessly at the trainset. Sometimes if he had been a good boy Sean would even let him have a go, but this was rare, as Sean was notorious for hogging the ‘choo choo’, leaving ‘Br’ Keith  to watch him enviously. Maybe this was one of the reasons he liked to visit the Bunkerlow so much, always with the inspiration that he might get to play Thomas the Tank!"

I have owned a Hornby Dublo model railway since early childhood, but Kevin Chesham has only seen internet images of it on one of my blogs after his betrayal of those who befriended him. I have never discussed model railways with Kevin because it is not something that would remotely interest him, and my own layout was never set up during the period when he visited. As a collector, I had always been meaning to restore and improve my original model railway and am very pleased I have now done so. See below:

My model railway might not be as vast as pop-singer Rod Stewart's, or self-manufactured like the record producer Pete Waterman's, but it is entirely diecast and tinplate without a trace of plastic anywhere to be found. Some is pre-war, but mostly it hails from the 1950s. I also collect Hornby "0" gauge. See below:

Another falsehood published which is not so stomach-wrenching that it cannot be reproduced follows:

"Even [Keith's] birthday cake for example – which could be seen as a kind gesture – was intended to mock him and how his ‘friends’ Sean and Sarah see him. And the tragedy is that Keith was the only one there who just couldn’t see the joke."

We do throw our friends parties on special occasions. In this case it was Keith's sixtieth birthday and we made an occasion of it for him; something that would be memorable. He was absolutely delighted. There was no "joke" and the cake my wife made for him was considered by everyone to be a good likeness.

Being a portraiturist in the mediums of photography and oil on canvas, I tend to paint people I know. Kevin could not resist commenting in his familiarly insensitive and uncharitable manner about one I did of Keith:

"I was rather nauseated when at the same party Sean got ‘Br’ Keith to pose in front of a terribly executed portrait of him which he had painted ‘in his honour’. Like all of Sean’s paintings it resembled something which a young child would produce, but to puppy dog Keith it may as well have been a Michaelangelo commission.  Because the Commander had seen fit to commend his underling’s image to canvas."

In fact, I painted more than one portrait of Keith. He can be seen alongside one of them below where also included is my painting of St Francis of Assisi whom both Keith and I hold dear. I was consecrated on the feast of St Francis in 1991. Another portrait of Keith is seen being admired by a visiting friend, and below that is a portrait I made of Kevin Chesham about which he is peculiarly silent. It was executed before the full extent of his treachery was apparent, and yet it contains all the worrying aspects of a disturbed individual.

Finally, I shall provide my old friend of many years - Keith Maclean - with the last word. He has obviously seen what Kevin wrote about him and others. Yesterday my wife and I received the following from Keith (I have attached the beginning of his handwritten letter to identify for whom it is intended and the date):

Saluting

The above picture of Kevin Chesham was not taken digitally. It was taken by a film camera and the image is from a 35mm colour negative, so it would be very easy indeed to demonstrate its absolute authenticity. The background has been blacked out digitally to make the subject stand out, but that is all that has happened to the image which is otherwise 100% as the original and genuine. In a response (from the safety of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates) to my rebuttals, Kevin claimed on 29 January 2013:

"I most certainly was not giving – and HAVE NEVER GIVEN - a nazi salute in my life. On or OFF camera. ... I think anyone can see that ‘my’ right arm has been removed and replaced with a superimposed image of someone else’s arm. ... Not only has he soldered on a false arm – but an entire torso. Within my memory, although I have had a whole load of sporting kits over the years,  I have never owned or worn an England football shirt/ jumper or whatever it is."

He adds: "If you blow the photo up to 150% or so you can clearly see the fuzziness around my neckline – not visible in any other part of the photo where the ‘cut and shut’ has been more crudely executed."

Any "fuzziness" would be due to the background being blacked out around the outline. Here is the original high resolution picture (taken by an old style 35mm camera) minus the background blacked out:

I invite experts in photographic manipulation to view the outline of Kevin's head, arms and body in the high resolution images on view. There is no fuzziness. His shadow falls exactly as you would expect. Also, compare his hands with his hands in other photographs (see inset, below) which he accepts are genuine. They are his hands; the same as the hand seen saluting. Meanwhile, he completely ignores his correspondence (reproduced on my rebuttal blog) extolling the virtues of Fascism that is evidence of his true colours. This correspondence is very clearly in his own distinctive handwriting and bears his style.

Here is text offered in a letter attributed to a certain "Mr A Boggins" - transparently written by Kevin himself - containing sick statements to enable Kevin Chesham to respond in the way he wants on his hate blog:

"I see there is a picture of you in an England shirt, apparently giving a nazi salute. With no disrespect or prejudice to the disabled intended, I notice that your right arm is significantly shorter than your left in this photo, and that your hand is the size of a small child’s. This is not the case in any other photos of yourself which I have seen. Do or did you ever suffer from a malformation of the right arm (possibly congenital) which has since been corrected? And if so, did this affect your sporting career in any way? Of course, given the heavy use of terribly executed photoshop attempts in the rest of the blog, another explanation could be that you were not giving a nazi salute with your suddenly disfigured right arm at all, but that arm in question had been digitally 'soldered on'."

Andy Boggins was a real person who died several years ago. Kevin would have been given his name by David Farrant who heard it mentioned by Anthony Hill (the only one out of them to actually have been acquainted with Boggins) around the time Farrant was residing in Hill's coal bunker (August 1969 August 1970). Farrant has used the nomenclature previously in spoof posts on the internet, and clearly passed it on to Kevin Chesham for the purpose of "authenticating" the bogus message from a dead man.

Kevin was also fed further nonsense about my status in the 1960s, but what he describes, minus the "floor-sweeping" aspect, is Anthony Hill's occupation at that time. Hill was a milkman who worked for me part-time during afternoons in the darkroom of my studio where I employed a full-time staff of approximately five people with additional workers as Saturday staff. There was also a cleaner who came in five mornings a week before the studio opened who was given her own set of keys. She was usually gone before I arrived to open the studio half an hour before my staff arrived. Kevin attributes quotes to Hill (obviously denied by him as ever having been uttered), and claims he visited me regularly in the early 1980s and was invited into my darkroom on many occasions. That's odd because I only saw Kevin once in the first half of the 1980s which was on Hampstead Heath at a public event attended by a radio journalist and a large crowd. During that period I lived first in Southgate and then Hampstead Garden Suburb. Kevin visited me at neither residence. The first visit I received from him was in the latter half of the 1980s after I had relocated to the outskirts of London in South Hertfordshire. None of the aforementioned addresses contained a darkroom.

Kevin further claims that I stole a picture taken of him in Berlin standing next to a large poster of Adolf Hitler when, in fact, he sent it to me in a white sheet of paper folded around it inside another envelope containing a cover letter in which he proudly mentions his visit. I assumed the image was possibly sent because of my interest in history, but I have since realised it was all part of a strategy following his association with Kerry Bolton in the wake of his stroke and time spent living in New Zealand. I certainly sensed a personality transplant on those few occasions he visited my wife and I when really what I was witnessing was the behaviour of someone steadily becoming more and more mentally unbalanced. To top it all, Kevin claims on his hate blog that a CIA agent probably took the picture of him standing alongside a massive photograph of Adolf Hitler in Berlin. He also laughingly describes himself as "a military man."

"I have never owned or worn an England football shirt/ jumper or whatever it is." Kevin Chesham

In another blog entry - posted within days of his unconvincing denial of giving a Nazi salute while wearing English Defence League attire - Kevin proclaims: "Getting mixed up with a cult to can happen to the best of us – and I should know: it happened to me!" He compares the cult he was mixed up with to "Scientology, the Manson Family and the Branch Davidians." The "cult," should anyone be in doubt, is apparently the Catholic Church to which my wife and I belong, which might come as a surprise because Kevin Chesham is not a Christian, much less is he a Catholic. He has never been a Christian, nor has he ever claimed to be one. Yet now we find him speaking as if he was on the inside of some nefarious Christian sect despire religion having never being a topic of conversation on those occasions he visited, invited or otherwise, to celebrate whatever occasion it happened to be at our private residence. This is a desperate attempt on his part to excuse his paranoid and irrational behaviour since teaming up with David Farrant.

Kevin Chesham goes on to say: "I was inadvertently visiting a retreat for survivors of satanic cults. I never met any of these people or saw any evidence that they had been staying."

In the past, we were very occasionally approached by various churches to shelter individuals who had been victims who had survived satanic groups, covens, sects etc and might otherwise be at risk. This was owing chiefly to my work investigating such cults and, of course, From Satan To Christ that was published after I was no longer able to operate covertly in that field because it ceased to be safe for me to continue doing so. The address of our private retreat on the south coast was generally unknown up until Easter 2002 at which time it was betrayed by someone who was privy to it. We now know that person was Kevin Chesham.

Unsolicited mail of a vaguely threatening nature began to arrive bearing a London postmark. It was handed to WPC Suzie Cregan who opened a crime file on our behalf in Dorset. Alarm bells should have started to ring when an item arrived on Tuesday April 23rd (St George's Day) of that year with insufficient stamps and a single word comprising its message. The word was: "Moving?" The message was sent by David Farrant, a man convicted in the 1970s of satanic crimes at Highgate Cemetery and attempting to pervert the course of justice evinced by sending police witnesses voodoo death dolls in a separate case involving his Satanist friend John Pope who was found guilty of sexual assault. Farrant received a significant jail sentence.

The possibility of relocation soon after the beginning of the new century was a topic sometimes mentioned,
and two of the people we mentioned it to were a Kevin Chesham and Beverley Mason who took an extraordinary interest in the possibility of us moving to somewhere as yet undisclosed. They always made a point of raising it every time we heard from them or when we saw them on the odd occasions they visited. In the event, we did not relocate but rather established an interest elsewhere whilst retaining the retreat. Yet for the next couple of years Kevin and his wife found little else to talk about in our company. When they finally realised the retreat would remain unsold with nothing disclosed about other interests they started to become noticably agitated. This was most apparent when they attended a celebration dinner in my honour in July 2007, which was the last year we came into contact with them. We do not permit smoking at the retreat, but on this occasion we were mostly seated in the sun lounge abutting the garden with the doors wide open. The wife of Anthony Hill, who was seated next to these open doors, happened to start smoking. Everyone had long since finished eating, but Kevin and his wife took umbrage, gathered their bags and jackets together, and stormed out in an almighty huff. This was the first time that Anthony and Kevin had been together in our home. It would also be the last time. Kevin was extremely nervous from the moment he discovered Anthony's presence, and they did not speak to each other. Anthony, of course, was around at the time of Kevin's rewritten past and would easily dismiss this history as complete and utter fabrication.

It was also not too long after this occasion in July 2007 that collusion would become all too apparent between Kevin Chesham and David Farrant. They are in many ways mentally and emotionally alike.

So we accepted up until Lent 2002 those who needed our help by providing the safe haven or sanctuary needed. The reason we did so is because we were asked, and the rooms were available. It did not happen often, but the moment our address was compromised we could no longer continue. Kevin "never met any of these people" because it would have defeated the object of the exercise if he had, which, in the circumstances, would have been somewhat difficult as he was mostly living abroad prior to Lent 2002.

Kevin goes full tilt with his next rant, which is a clear example of transference, ie reproduction of emotions relating to repressed experiences, especially of childhood, and the substitution of another person for the original object of the repressed impulses:

"As eccentricity blossomed into a complicated set of mental health conditions, so the need became greater for Sean to assuage his growing paranoia that the rest of the world thought he was nuts and was against him, by surrounding himself with an ever tighter-knit group of who he considered to be ‘loyal followers.’ The distinction between followers and friends here is very important. To Sean they are the same thing. How can I explain this? Whether due to difficulties making friends at school, some developmental problems, or perhaps some kind of autism Sean does not really seem to understand what real friendship is about. For him friendship seems to be some kind of contract, some perfunctory almost legal arrangement devoid of any natural feeling and mutual respect and focusing only on what use other people can be to him."

It is impossible for me, my wife or our friends to imagine any circumstance in which Kevin proved to be of any use to us or indeed anyone. I, on the other hand, was expected to write references for him and his wife when either of them applied for new employment. She relied on my reference, for example, when she became a head teacher, but these positions never seemed to last long before another job was being sought. I would receive telephone calls from prospective employers asking for character references after they had received my written one. Beverley would take highly paid jobs in Arab counties, eg Kuwait, where she worked as a private teacher. They lived for a while in Cairo, Egypt, due to the high income her teaching attracted, but these places were ultimately undesirable and so they emigrated to New Zealand. I would receive reference requests from various local authorities at such times Kevin was in the UK. These would invariably be for pool attendant jobs. Kevin even asked me to provide references for people I had never met who needed a professional person as a guarantor. I did so in order to try and help a stranger. He understood, as do all those who know me, that I would never turn anyone down if I can be of assistance.

It is most curious for them now to claim that I focus on what use they are to me because in all the years I have known Kevin he has excluded me from everything he has done. While I have included him on our guest lists, wined and dined him and his wife, and even invited him to our wedding (though he only turned up for the reception), not once has he asked me to join him for a meal; not once has he invited me and mine back to his home. In fact, the last couple of addresses where he lived in Essex were withheld from us. However, no sooner had Kevin and his wife met Farrant than the latter was invited to spend Christmas with them. I have never asked anything from Kevin or Beverley, but have always been available to give my help whenever and wherever it was called upon. This will be attested by all our mutual acquaintances.
.
.
Kevin Chesham is regarded as being every bit as paranoid as David Farrant (above) by those who have known him. He distrusts everyone and is suspicious of everything, as his correspondence down the years certainly confirms. It is interesting that Kevin mentions "making friends at school" and "developmental problems" because that is exactly what we ascertained about him from quite early on, ie he had no friends throughout his childhood and early life which, to say the least, was very problematic. I do not wish to elaborate on such matters openly, but his first wife, Cyrena, and one or two people he worked alongside in the 1970s have hinted at an exceptionally traumatic and troubled past while Kevin was still quite young. I have never known Kevin to ever find a proper friend, which is why I went out of my way to befriend him as best as I could. In the end, it did no good. He reverted to type and whatever darkness dwells deep inside him has now found fruition as Farrant and he enter into an unholy pact of personal malice. To attempt to make sense of such behaviour is a pointless quest. All one can do is recognise it and defend against it.

It begs the question of how many more lies he can pile on top of all the others? I imagine quite a few given the company he nowadays keeps, ie someone described as a pathological liar by the criminal law courts.

I feel what has been provided, however, is more than adequate to demonstrate Kevin Chesham's blatant dishonesty, moral bankruptcy and total betrayal of those who tried to help him.
